Walking with Barcelona

You don’t get to know Barcelona

by ticking boxes.

You learn it through return.

The same streets at different hours.

The same walk, never quite the same.

Walking beside history,

past open balconies,

through conversations you don’t belong to

but somehow feel close to.

And somewhere between repetition and

wandering, the city softens.

Because Barcelona doesn’t offer itself all at once.

It reveals itself slowly

to those who don’t rush to define it,

and are willing to stay long enough

to let the city settle into them.
