Discovering INANDOUT.STUDIO and Stefania Talento’s Barcelona

June, 9, 2023. Written by Clara De Nadal Trias

This month of June at B*Local we are back with a new interview. But not just any interview, but one of those interviews in which you discover incredible people with background, with soul, with history and with a lot of things to share.

Also, the last name of my interviewee is already a prelude to what is here to come… so today I present to you Stefania Talento.

Stefania is a restless and curious woman, who’s also very close to her friends. She admits that sometimes she can be a bit too harsh when expressing her ideas; she is a great lover of cameras and people and she confesses that perhaps in another life, she would have liked to be an actress.

Now that we know a little bit of your personally... What do you do Professionally?

I am a social media manager, community manager, content creator and with my partner in crime and love of my life, Andreu Font Bastos, 5 years ago we created our own company from where we can manage your Social Networks, drive a marketing strategy or even create a moodboard for a shooting.

Please tell us more about your company, what is inandout.studio?

inandout.studio is a small agency dedicated to digital marketing, made up of free creative talents (this last two words she says it with power).

We do not have a fixed headquarters, because we like to think that our work can be done in any corner of the world and with a team that continuously varies. Furthermore, we like to select talent based on the project. Even so, we have three permanent people, but we collaborate with other professionals as needed.

For us, the most important thing is to work with projects with those we feel close to in some way. Basically, we are dedicated to "manage the Social Networks of those who hire us", becoming their alter ego and really transmitting what they are. This is possible because we are a small company and we want to continue being so, as this allows us to have a direct and close relationship with each of our clients. In fact, we are not interested in having an infinite portfolio, because we believe that this is how we manage not to lose the quality of our work and live. We like to work, but also enjoy life and rest our creative brains.

In your opinión, what do you think is the greatest contribution of inandout.studio to a city like Barcelona?

Well, in the beginning we used to help small projects to launch their RRSS so later they can walk on their own. But now it is true that we are focusing more on clients from abroad, because our work is much more valued and also some local companies from Barcelona that do really recognize the quality of our work.

In addition, all the people in our team live here in Barcelona, and although they are from abroad, they greatly enrich the work we do.

Besides your agency, Andreu and you share a hobby where you two show your love for Barcelona and for food that started as a blog and is now a well-known Instagram account. What does a restaurant or bar have to have to appear on @inandoutbarcelona?

It has to be independent. It doesn't have to be fancy. And it has to be authentic, with history and soul.

Continuing with Barcelona… What is your favorite corner of the city?

Without a doubt, Montjuic, because when I think of it the smell of pine trees comes to my mind. It also has very good views of the sea and the Fundació Miró is also there, which I love.

Can you tell me what’s the best thing about living in this city?

It is a city that still allows you to combine work and free time. As it is not very big, it allows you to move around in a very short time. You can also reconcile personal and professional life and above all, depending on where you look at it, on one side you can see the sea and on the other the mountains. It also has many terraces, you can walk everywhere and thanks to its climate, it allows you to live a lot on the street.

Great! And now, please tell us your 3 favorite restaurants and/or bars, and why:

Brugarol: because is a jewel located in the Gothic Quarter. The restaurant is very small with only 5 tables and the chef (native from South-African) mixes Mediterranean ingredients with Japanese recipes. A really Top place with still affordable prices.

Gina Balmesina: although I feel very much from Barcelona, I am Italian by birth and for me pizza is a very democratic food that unites people. The space is simple, casual and focuses on what has to be focused on, the food and Andreu and I we go every Sunday or Monday.

14 de la rosa: I love this classic cocktail place, they have a fancy playlist and it's not pretentious at all.

You have just told us that you are not from Barcelona so… Could you tell us what still surprising you about this city?

What it continue to surprising me and delighting me is that each neighborhood is a city itself. It fascinates me how each neighborhood encompasses a world of totally different people, with different habits, different tastes…

If someone who has never been to Barcelona would ask you: what can't I miss, do or visit?

In my opinion, if you are in Barcelona you cannot miss going to La Barceloneta neighborhood and discovering all its corners.

I would also recommend to try Bar La Cañada in the Poble Sec neighborhood, that is a bar from the 50s rescued by the owner's sons. In addition there are very special squares throughout the city such as the Plaza de Sant Just in the Gothic quarter and also try Ànima del Vi tavern, a cozy tavern with stone arches and a piano, which bases its offer on tapas, small plates and glasses of organic wines.

What is your favorite plan in the city?

My favorite plan in Barcelona is to get up in the morning, pick up a neighborhood at random and discover it in its entirety.

If you didn't live in Barcelona... Where would you live?

In Copenhagen, Denmark.

And if Barcelona were a person... Who would it be?

My partner Andreu.

Last but not least... Please mention someone I should do this interview to and why.

Definitely Veronica Forte from Hey Studio. Because she is an incredible woman, a single mother, an entrepreneur and with a worldwide recognized business by all graphics lovers.

Thank you very much, Stef.
