Rôtisserie de Sarrià

Eating “grilled chicken” on Sundays has become a true tradition in Barcelona, but it turns out that there are chickens and chickens.

In the last few months, Barcelona has set the highest level for this delicacy, with the opening of the first authentic French “Rôtisserie”: Rôtisserie de Sarrià.

Located in the upper area of the city, Carrer de Manuel de Falla 5, Rôtisserie de Sarrià presents itself as the first Rôtisserie in the city that works with the concept "La Rôtisserie", led by the hands of the gastronomic and pastry chef Anthony Audebaud, accompanied by his team of cooks.

From Monday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Rôtisserie de Sarrià you can enjoy authentic take-away “pulardas” (free-range hens with delicate meat) of 1'5 hours of cooking; as well as many other typically French dishes such as potato parmentier, quiche lorraine, mashed meat gratin, salads and starters; homemade desserts and cakes plus an area dedicated to the best French wines and cheeses and delicatessen products both sweet and salty.

And on weekends, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., apart from the “pulardas”, they also prepare lamb shoulder and pork ribs to take away under request. But that's not all, because if you want to surprise your guests and dedicate a special lunch or dinner to them; now you can also hire the services of Anthony Audebaud's private kitchen agency, Audebaud and its “Tailor made cuisine” service to enjoy the experience of having a real chef in your own home.

Las Arenas Shopping Center’ dome

From November 25 to March 21, the dome of the Las Arenas Shopping Center, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 373, will host an exhibition in Barcelona where visitors will immerse themselves in the sensory world of Van Gogh.

The exhibition, entitled 'The world of Van Gogh', goes beyond the projection of slides in high definition, creating a 360-degree sensory universe with multimedia montage and the latest technological advances to offer three-dimensionality, as well as simulations of touch, smell, original music and live narrations.

They promise that the visitor will be surrounded by a multimedia universe, accompanied by a 100% original soundtrack made by the Spanish young composer Adrià Berenguer, who has created hypnotizing music with the aim of helping the viewer enter the world of Vincent Van Gogh.

In addition, the exhibition also has a creative space dedicated to children so they can let their imagination run wild, paint and draw as if they were Van Gogh himself. Every day access from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets available here.

Bungnuts

And now is the time to talk about Bungnuts, who has recently opened its doors last October 2021, becoming the first vegan donut establishment in the Catalan capital.

Like other businesses that have seen the light during the last year, Bungnuts was born as a result of the pandemic when Nuria Pes and Marina Sopena, both chefs at Estació Vegana, which offers 100% vegetable cuisine catering services, suffered the cancellation of weddings, events and celebrations that sustained their business and had to reinvent themselves.

During the months of confinement, they took courses in vegan pastry, and as soon as it was when possible, they opened the donut order service at home. As a result, the success of the proposal encouraged them to open a store.

The new gastronomic proposal located in Carrer de Santa Eugènia 16, offers from the classic donut to other more sophisticated ones, such as the matcha tea filling donut, or sweeter specialties such as “dulce de leche” filling donut and the covered with black and white chocolate donut.

"Bungnuts intends to break with the clichés that fall on vegan cuisine to demonstrate that vegan pastry can be the same or even tastier than using animal products", point out Nuria Pes and Marina Sopena, promoters of the project.

Sensi Tapas

Opened in 2006 and located in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, Carrer Ample 24, Sensi Tapas has not stopped conquering local and international audiences since its opening, reinventing and elevating traditional Mediterranean tapas in a vibrant and eclectic environment.

After a few months closed caused by the pandemic, now Sensi Tapas has returned stronger than ever, modernizing the classics of Spanish gastronomy, through a recipe book with influences from international cuisines that reflect the cosmopolitan nature of Barcelona.

The interior design of Sensi Tapas, also inspired in Barcelona, mixes modern and contemporary touches with warm and welcoming details made by the vibrant paintings of the international artist, Aldo Gigli.

Inspired by its motto "Eat, drink, life is short", Sensi Tapas continues to offer creative and modern Mediterranean tapas to share that invite guests to discover new flavors with top quality and KM.0 ingredients, as well as incorporates some ingredients of organic origin.

And for the most delicate, the menu also has a variety of vegetarian and vegan tapas options with the aim of adapting to the needs of everyone who visits them.
